Something that is well worth considering and if you ever wondered where some of your charitable giving goes to…..please see press release from Friends of Cornwallis Court re one particular resident and how we helped him.
Hello, Duncan is a freemason and a long time resident of Cornwallis Court. Unfortunately life has not been too kind to Duncan, he has had both legs amputated above the knee, and needs a special chair to hold his body in place. His old chair was completely worn out from constant daily use, and when the Court asked the Friends to help, we were only too happy to oblige.
He is absolutely delighted with his new chariot, it does all sorts of things to help him stay comfortable.
Of course there is a price, and the cost is not financed by his rent, so The Friends of Cornwallis Court paid for it to the tune of £3,216.
This brethren is what we the friends are all about, and why we ask you for money, your generous donations over the years have enabled us to help many older masons, or their widows. And we hope to do so for many years to come, providing that little bit of extra help to make life worth living.
The RMBI is now about to start rebuilding a new Cornwallis Court, to the tune of around £15 million, but people like Duncan will still need our help.
So please remember us in your charitable giving, it will be thankfully received and faithfully applied.
