The Very Reverend Joe Hawes Dean of the Cathedral visits Ashlar House

The newest Lodge in the Province, Suffolk 250 Lodge No.10014, held their first meeting following consecration, at Ashlar House on Tuesday 5th April 2022 attended by numerous members, guests and in the presence of the RWPGM.  The guest of honour was The Very Reverend Joe Hawes Dean of the Cathedral.  The formal meeting was opened and closed, whereupon the Dean was invited and escorted into the Temple.  After being welcomed by the WM, the Dean spoke at length, providing an extremely interesting insight into the daily activities of the Cathedral, the many facets of their work and steps being taken to recover from the effects of the pandemic.   His talk was most certainly inspirational; informative, thought provoking and much enjoyed by those present.

At the Festive Board, the Dean was presented with a cheque for £250 towards the Cathedrals ‘New Chairs Appeal’ for which he expressed his most sincere thanks and spoke also of the Provinces Thanksgiving Service on 23rd October 2022 to which we are all invited, and he hoped, we will all attend.
