May 1st 2026 really did prove to be a “Red Letter Day” for the promoters of the Ashlar House 100 Club. It was on this date that the they paid over their cheque of £1,000.00 to The St Edmundsbury Masonic Hall Company. It has taken since September 2025 to accumulate sufficient finds from the Draws to make this payment, and it is with great pleasure that we make this donation for assistance with, and application to the Company’s capital debt repayment programme.
Clearly, this donation is but a drop in the ocean when considering the debt pile being addressed by our “Hall Company”, but, we are working on the basis that “Every little counts”, and we shall be maintaining our efforts to increase the frequency of these payments in the future. We say this with confidence, because we have paid all the establishment costs incurred in establishing the Ashlar House 100 Club, and the number of our contributors is indeed slowly growing. Having said that, we do need more contributors going forward, so that we can make more, and more significant donations in the future.
