Abbot Baldwin Lodge recently achieved a first for the Lodge, with a double initiation, and it was received extremely well by all who attended. The WM, WBro Richard Day, conducted a faultless ceremony, having quite the year already with the Lodge 50-year celebrations. On hand to assist were JD, WBro Nigel Gregory, who provided the candidates with experienced Grand Officer assurance, and SD Bro Andrew Martin.
A good number of visitors were also in attendance and both new initiates, Bro Williams and Bro Lebbon, made a good impression at the meeting and the buoyant festive board afterwards, where the Visitor’s Toast was in the form of a short song by Bro Simon Chrispin on guitar, another first for the Lodge! This was received extremely well by the visitors and everyone left in good spirit having been treated to a very enjoyable evening.
