In May 2026, I reported that we had reached a “Red Letter Day” when making the first donation of £1,000.00 from the Ashlar House 100 Club to the Hall Company account. So, I am uncertain what category the second £1000.00 payment made on 6th October should be titled. Given the traction we are achieving with the 100 Club to date this could become a more regular event, given that it took 10 months to achieve the first payment, and just 5 months for the second!
Those that know me well, know that I am a “Glass Half-Full” person, and you will therefore appreciate that I am looking towards achieving greater things with respect to the contribution our 100 Club can make going forward. So, to meet these expectations, we just need a few more Bury St Edmunds Masons to join the cause! I realise that there are multiple demands on your finances at this time, however, I truly believe that “Charity begins at Home”, and therefore we should do everything possible to ensure our future security at Ashlar House.
We are set up so that you don’t have to spend a fortune – much can be achieved by many people making modest (regular) contrinbutions over time – which we can now demonstrate by making this 2nd payment after only 5 months!!
